I have made hundreds of functional parts over the years, focusing on both design for additive manufacturing and the slicing/printing process. My skills were put to the test when I managed all of my team's 3D printing with hundreds of parts to print (530+ printing hours) within 4 short months.
Materials: For everything printed on Markforged, I used their filament called Onyx. It is a nylon base with finely cut carbon fiber in the filament, making it stronger than ABS. For most of the parts I've printed on this machine, I've taken advantage of it's ability to lay a continuous fiber between layers. Fiber options include Kevlar, Fiberglass, and Carbon Fiber. In addition to Onyx, I've used various materials including common filaments (ABS, PLA, HIPS, etc), moisture sensitive, nylons, transparent, water-soluble or other solubles for support materials.
Printers: I have used a variety of 3D printers including Lulzbot (Mini, Taz4, Taz5), Markforged Mark 2, MakerBot, Elgoo Mars SLA printer.
Slicer Software: I primarily use Simplify3D for slicing, but also have plenty of experience with versions of Cura and Eiger (Markforged software).
